ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A little about me....I am member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators with affiliation in the Midsouth chapter. I am also a student at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN, where I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree is Architectural Engineering. Even though my current career patyh differs from that of a writer, it has in no way affected my writing career. Along with going to school and writing I consider my self a young advocate for children's literacy, so I donate my some of my time to reading to children in the public school sector because I truly feel that there is need for more support in reading and literacy in public school areas. One thing I plan to do after I have successfully published my first book Ms. B. and Her Wondrous Bees is, donate 35% of my proceeds made from the sale of my book to the PENCIL Foundation, here in Nashville, TN (pencilfoundation.org).
Thanks,

AUTHOR NOTE
The idea for Ms. B. and Her Wondrous Bees was developed while I was in an individual meeting with a past Creative Writing instructor. While we were in her office, she made it a note to inform me that there was a bee’s nest in her office and that the maintenance crew had not made around to ridding her office of the bees. I found the bees very amusing and the thought of her just sitting comfortably in her office while the bees roamed freely in her office gave me the idea for this story. I quickly wrote the idea down on a napkin that was on her desk. (Something I did very often when I had an idea.)
I had been working on this project for more than three years because I would work on it for a few days and when I felt like my mind could not brainstorm anymore, I would put my notes away and spend my time doing something else.
It wasn’t until this year, after I completed my first book Shrimp So Plenty Opossums Too Many, did I realize that I needed to stop procrastinating, (because I realized that was procrastinating…Ha!), and just write, write until my hands were swollen. Furthermore, working with my teacher Ms. Parham, whom I was introduced to by my former English teacher, Dr. Houston, made me better understand my potential as a writer. I think that working with her on both projects gave me motivation to actually complete them.
The road to completing this book has been a wonderful experience. However, when you complete a work, no matter what type of project it is, finishing it has the best feeling ever!

Ms. B. and Her Wondrous Bees Synopsis
Written By: Rahman Newdles
Illustrated By: Joshua Wright
Ms B. and her Wondrous Bees, is the story of Ms. B., an unusually odd third grade teacher who keeps bees in her classroom. But she doesn’t let them fly all wild and loose. Oh no! Ms. B. keeps her bees in her big oak closet, she keeps them in her big oak desk, and she even keeps them in the bee-shaped cupboard where they have created a nest!
However, things take a turn for the worst when Principal Jubilee forces Ms. B to get rid of each and every bee because not school shall have a single bee, as stated in rule thirty-three.
Oh what will Ms. B. do?
Seeing that their beloved teacher has a problem, her students brainstorm ideas to help Ms. B.
Will her students be able to save Ms. B. and her Wondrous Bees???
This story would be a great picture book for children aged 5-9 years old. The story a nice message presented in a casual way.
